A Sunny day in Burton on Trent
 
Recently a number of West Lancashire Allied Masons made their way on a wet Saturday morning eventually arriving into the sunshine at Ashburton Masonic Hall situated in Burton on Trent.

On their arrival, they were able to meet friends and share a welcome cup of tea together with a tasty Bacon Barmcake. Leading the deputation was the DGP Bill Seddon; also in attendance was the Dept.DGP Paul Snape as well as six members of the District, included in this number was the Grand Junior Deacon continuing his Grand Tour, there were two other members of the District attending but in other senior positions.
 
At the meeting, R.W.Bro. Cliff Bull D.G.P. for the West Midlands welcomed Bill Seddon our District Grand Prefect and other members of our District thanking them all for their support not just at his meeting but over many years.

Among the many Honoured Guests welcomed to the meeting was the Grand Master M.W.Bro. Tom Jackson.
The Grand Master
The reason for the outing was not only to attend the District Meeting for West Midlands, but to witness the appointment of a new Deputy D.G.P. David Ursell following the retirement of Paul Weston who had held to office as Deputy for 6yrs.

Following the meeting we were treated to a four course Banquet in the company of friends from both the District of West Midlands and other Districts visiting the meeting.
